The Next Best Read Awards

I’m happy to have received Honorable Mention in the Next Best Read awards. I know they receive thousands of entries, so this is big for me.

I’ve entered a few other contests, so it will be interesting to see how my books are received. In some contests, I entered only Codex Sohrakia; in others, I entered both Codex and Devil’s Conquest. Mostly, I enter these in the hopes they will help with exposure to get my book to more readers. So far, that’s been the biggest challenge. Finding my audience. I know all authors struggle with this, so we try all kinds of things that mostly don’t work. Still, being recognized by these well-read contest judges is validating. It feels marvelous, even when sharing those wins might feel awkward. I’ve never felt comfortable boasting, even if I am proud of my work.
